Overview

cari

CARI is a questionnaire that profiles our ability to deal with stress and to overcome adverse events. Designed primarily as a tool for personal development, it provides an indication of areas we are strong at, and where our vulnerabilities lie. CARI can also be used as a supplement to other assessments.

Primary Factors

The 3 main factors measured are

Coping Capacity

Our individual qualities – the positive benefits of disposition, beliefs, emotions and physical states.

Coping Process

The way we go about dealing with stress – the dynamic interaction of our thoughts, behaviours and emotions in the face of adversity.

Coping Buffers

The external factors that mitigate our situation – factors in the environment that serve to protect us from the debilitating effects of adversity.
